Friday, October 31st, the Palisade Bulldogs celebrated their Seniors and showed great love. This year. Football had 18 players and three managers. The marching band had a handful of Seniors, as well as the cheerleading team. The football team played Eagle Valley, and it was a fun game. There was not a lot of action from the other team. They enjoyed a great 28-10 win against the Devils. Multiple players put up a great performance, but Senior Branson Springer rushed for 60 yards, adding a score to the board. He was just a part of the big win, as the team finished the game with 348 rushing yards. The strong performance was nothing new for the Bulldogs. Palisade had a great defensive line with Cade Carter, Tristan Brinton, and Michael Kemmis, who each picked up one sack apiece.
The Football team has worked hard and put in so much effort to get to where they are now. The Bulldogs are ranked 3rd in the state for the 3A Football league. I got a chance to interview Senior Dylon Larson, and here’s what he had to say; “I think overall it was a good game and everyone on the team played well.” Larson has been on the team since his Freshman year, and he has always put in great work at practice. Larson explains that over the past four years, his favorite memory was his Freshman year when the team played Grand Junction High School and got into a big fight. This led Seniors Tobyn Trottier and Francisco Garza to get thrown out of the game.
Palisade has a great record of 7-2 and gave Eagle Valley its first defeat of the season. Good Job, Seniors!
