On Tuesday, March 4th, another Student of the Week was announced, and this time it was senior Tristan Brinton, which honestly didn’t surprise anyone. Tristan is one of those people who some how manages to be everywhere at once showing up to early‑morning lifts, staying late after practice, and still walking into class looking like he actually slept. Brinton states,”It’s an honor been grinding day and night for this award. I work hard at school and at my house”. People always talk about how student athletes don’t get enough credit, and Brinton is the definition of why they should. He’s balancing practices, games, homework, and whatever else life throws at him, and he still manages to be a nice person Brinton also quotes “a motivational quote I go by is if you aint first your last by the man himself Ricky Bobby”. Teachers always say he’s respectful and focused, and his teammates talk about how he hypes everyone up, even on the days when the whole team is dragging Science teacher Patrick Steele states “He’s a stallion among show ponies” Not only Steele being a teacher but being one of Brinton’s coaches for football. This shows why Brinton was chosen this title because teachers and coaches can be comfortable around Brinton and be their happy selves because of the student he is. Plus it’s just inspiring and motivating seeing someone who represents the school in such a positive way. Brinton comments “Spread kindness and be involved in as many extra-curricular activities as you can.” Whether he’s on the field or just hanging out with friends at lunch, Brinton has that energy that makes people want to do better and show what it means to be a Palisade Bulldog.
