On Thursday April 30th, Invincible VS is released for all to play. Invincible VS is a fighting game set in the Invincible universe. On launch the game will have 18 playable characters consisting of Invincible, Omni-Man, Atom Eve, Robot, Rex Splode, Allen the Alien, Battle Beast, Monster Girl, Bulletproof, Thula, Anissa, Lucan, Titan, Cecil, Powerplex, Dupli-Kate, Conquest, and a brand new original hero made for the game, Ella Mental. Invincible VS standard edition is released for $49.99 and deluxe edition for $69.99 for Playstation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. Invincible VS released a demo of the game early from April 9th to the 11th to build expectations and excitement for the game.
Talan Despain, a Junior at Palisade High School and avid Invincible fan, says “Invincible VS is so tough!” Despain then brings up the characters in Invincible VS he is excited to play, he states “Definitely Eve and Allen the Alien” Despain is planning on going in mostly blind to the game and its experiences. Despain was asked how much he would expect the game to be, Despain explains, “Easily $60 or $70, I feel like that a pretty good price for a wide span of games, but if they wanted more players maybe they sell it for like $30, $35.” Despain adds, “I feel like it’d be very good, if it was like Mortal Combat and Marvel Rivals mixed, and make it into a 5v5 gamemode or a 1v1 similar to how Mortal Combat is. I feel like it has a lot of potential.” Despain ends it with, “They really need to focus on the animation of the game and focus on the overall aesthetic of the characters and how they look in the show versus how they look in the game.” Overall, it seems Despain has some high expectations for the game and is really looking forward to it. Despain suggest checking out Invincible VS as soon as possible.
