Friday May 1st we had the fish release down by Riverbend park. This year we had many students participate in seeing and joining these endangered fish released into the river. Junior Claritssa Rocha has some words to say “It was cool to see how people from the fish program took a serious interest and how they brought the school community together to protect the endangered species.“
Ending on a high note, the day was a shared dedication to protecting our environment. This event’s success proves that the community is helpful. Organizers sent a huge thank you to everyone involved, enforcing that these efforts are important for saving endangered species and securing a healthy planet. The positive effects from this collaboration will inspire the next generation. What a successful day!
Claritssa Rocha said I”t was awesome how everyone cared about the fish and worked together as a school community to help them. It really showed that when we all pitch in, we can do good things for nature. We learned that these fish are important for the river and we need to keep them safe.” We got to learn more about the river and why it’s important to keep it clean. Palisade High School and our fish hatchery and community felt good to be part of something that helps the environment and makes our community stronger. Everyone was smiling and excited to be there.
