On Tuesday, February 10th, the Palisade Bulldogs faced off against Delta. Delta is pretty big as a team overall, but that didn’t stop the Bulldogs from performing. The Bulldogs came in with their heads high, ready to face off from the start. The game stayed tight most of the nigh but they rose to the challenge, taking the 74-63 win.
After interviewing junior Todd Nordenson, he shared his thoughts on the game, explaining, “It was pretty close the whole time.” Coming from the tallest player on the Bulldogs team. Nordenson added, “Delta is a pretty big team, and I think that’s why it was a close game.” Even though Delta had some size, most of the game’s size came from Nordenson himself, as he continues to be the main post for the Bulldogs.
Junior Jax Bavor also reflected on the game Bavor mentioned, “We played really good defense. And defence is key to playing and winning against bigger boys. Bavor is known for being a strong defender, so it’s not surprising to hear him highlight his team effort because defense isn’t just one person’s effort; it’s the whole team’s effort.
In the end, the score wasnt just any other score but another game to add to their 17-2 streak. Even though the game might have been close the whole time, the Bulldogs stayed composed, executed what mattered, and took care of business once again.
