On Wednesday, February 24, Ms. Hall took her class out for a fun field trip to go enjoy time with other students. Ms. Hall took a group of about ten students, as well as some nine other Bulldogs who came to help the class have fun! The trip lasted from 8:30 to 11:00 a.m., making it back just in time for lunch. The games included a 15-minute running clock with three different groups playing.
Ms. Lexi Hall was the teacher who took all of the students and ran the day. Ms. Hall stated, “We did about five minutes, more like six or seven, for each group.” Ms. Hall made sure that each student had enough playing time to enjoy themselves while also ensuring that each adaptive P.E. student had another student to help them through the game. “We put three of our adaptive P.E. kids in a game, then we had about two to three student aid peers that would go in and help, too,” states Ms. Hall. Taking turns throughout the game was a huge part of the day to make sure that each student was able to participate and get the same amount of time as everyone else.
Ms. Hall also stated that there quiet a few other teams as well. There was one team from Fruita High School, about two teams from Grand Junction High School, and one more team from Central High School. Adaptive students from our school included: Maggie Bro
wn, Cesar Chaidez, Isaiah Barnhill, LeRoy Jay Kelsey, James Provstgaard, Savannah Ragains, Chase Saltzman, Yager Talbott, Braiden Garringer-Chee, and Julian Linkenhoger. Also, students who went to help with the day
included: Carter Hayward, Brylee Larson, Lila Huddle, Adyn Cassity, Aidan Shiao, Lyla Lancaster, Hunter Howard, Todd Nordenson, and Taylar Umberger.
These Bulldogs had an amazing time during the day. Special shout-out to Ms. Hall for helping this day become a reality and to all of the Bulldogs who went out to help all of their peers! Great job, Bulldogs!
