On April 2nd, the Palisade Varsity Girls Soccer team had a game against Central High School at CMU. Both teams fought hard, but the final score was 10-0 with the Bulldogs bringing home the win. All the girls had high spirits throughout the game and the win is what they needed to get back on their feet. Thankfully they practiced what they had to work on and came back on their field better than before!
Freshman Claire Fricke, a mid fielder, has some encouraging words after their big win against Central. Fricke states “We really connected, and we definitely scored a lot of goals. It was kinda like a turning point for our season, and we started winning.”
Fricke also shares what her team should work on. Fricke shares, “Just getting better at the individual stuff. Also, playing well together and connecting and end up winning and playing good as many games as possible.” With Fricke sharing that, it’ll motivate not only her but her teammates as well. Knowing that they can work together and work on something together is very important. It’s important that the team as a whole notices that, and it’s great to see how our bulldog girls work together in that way. Their next game that they played was on April 9th and it was a tied game.
