Tuesday, March 24th, the Varsity Palisade soccer team had a soccer game at CMU. The team had gone against Fruita Monument. They played hard but had a game of 0-5. Even though they had a tough loss, they came back fighting in the next game.
Freshman Carlie Rhoden speaks about that game and states, “even though it was a tough game, and no one scored, the team still had good support for the girls on the field and cheered them on.” Even when they are in low spirits, they still cheer another on, and that’s great sportsmanship.
Rhoden also shares, “We need to connect better, and pass the ball to one another and have better passes.” Yes, they have some work as a team, but if they keep the high spirits it will push them to be better and have something to look forward to. Knowing that our soccer team will support one another even in rough patches in games, shows what the coaches have taught them and how to represent the Palisade Bulldogs.
You know what they say, “You learn more from a win than a loss.” The palisade girl soccer team now has a week to practice and focus on what they have to work on until they get back on that field and show the next team who’s boss. Go Bulldogs!
