The Blue Angels Airshow and Practice

The Blue Angels Airshow and Practice

Last weekend The Blue Angels were flying through the sky making cool patterns and scaring people with their loud engines. The Blue Angels fly around every year with at least 60 shows annually at 30 locations throughout the United States and two shows at one location in Canada. I asked Trevin Brannon, a Bulldog who went to the airshow what he thought about the event and he said “The airplanes were cool. I was never really interested in things like planes but decided to attend the airshow anyway. I was fascinated by the talent of the pilots because they were making a bunch of different formations in the sky while being very close together overall it was very impressive.”

According to United S, the Blue Angels started doing their performances In 1946, the Chief of Naval Operations, Admiral Chester Nimitz, had a vision to create a flight exhibition team in order to raise the public’s interest in naval aviation and boost Navy morale. Although they are very cool, the Blue Angels are not only for the show they work very hard for example In 1949, it became necessary for the Blue Angels to operate a support aircraft to move personnel and equipment between show sites. I asked Trevin if he knew anything about the history of the Blue Angels and he said “No I didn’t know anything about the Blue Angels and I definitely did not know that they have been around for 77 years. The airshows are really cool and I would really like to recommend anybody to attend the airshows.”
