The beginning of Fall is an exciting time, whether it’s playing sports or embracing the autumnal vibe, but one of the highlights of the Fall season and high school in general is Homecoming. Being one of the most anticipated events of the year, all the Bulldogs were looking forward to discovering what would be the theme for homecoming this year.
There were three different hints posted on Instagram that gave students some clues about what this year’s Homecoming theme would be. One clue included a picture of Britney Spear’s album, Circus, which was a pretty strong indicator of the theme. The next hint was the popular disney sitcom KC Undercover starring Zendaya. The last and final one was a diamond ring around a finger with a target sign on it, a cryptic but good hint emphasizing this year’s theme.
Overall, Bulldogs have had a mostly positive reaction with some exceptions to the Circus HoCo theme. “It’s probably my favorite theme yet,” Ian Shaio, a senior and the SBA president remarks, “I’ve been wanting this since freshman year and it’s always been on the idea board, so I’m really excited to do it with my Student Council,” adds Shiao. River Moore, a freshman at Palisade states, “I think it was definitely unexpected. I mean I guess there were some clues, so I was kinda expecting it but it’s a bit odd but I think it’ll be fun.”
The circus theme for Homecoming is creating excitement in the Bulldog pack, and anticipation of the dance on October 4th. From parades to football games to the dance, this jam packed week full of fun activities will be an unforgettable experience for everyone at Palisade.
