On April 3rd, 2026, the Grand Junction lacrosse team hit the turf for a matchup against the Durango Demons that many expected to be a battle. Instead, it was a statement. In a performance defined by discipline and relentless pressure, the Grand Junction team decimated the Demons in a 22-2 victory. The intensity was high from the jump. Palisade’s transition game was flawless, leaving Durango struggling to find its footing. At the center of the offensive explosion was Adyn Cassity, who put on a clinical performance. Cassity was unstoppable, finding the back of the net for 5 goals and racking up a total of 10 points. Whether he was dodging through the crease or feeding the cutters, he played with a level of composure that dictated the entire pace of the game. However, the lopsided score wasn’t just due to one player. The entire roster mirrored that effort, moving the ball with precision and locking down the defensive zone. Every ground ball was contested, and every clear was executed with purpose. It was the kind of team-wide energy that makes a 20-point lead look easy. After the game Adyn Cassity said, “ I can’t take all the props for winning all my teammates out there where helping the way they can I am just happy I can help in the way I can” and he really can and lets hope he can keep that same energy for the rest of the season and take us to a championship were looking strong coming in to the season and where we are now so make sure to come watch a game and support the team and help them take us to the championship
