Palisade High School is kicking off February by recognizing junior Rye Gingerich as the Student of the Week, celebrating a young leader whose dedication shines both in the classroom and on the basketball court. Gingerich has earned this recognition for balancing academics and athletics with maturity, consistency, and drive. His teachers, coaches, and peers frequently note his reliability and the positive example he sets for others. When asked what motivates him to work hard, Gingerich explained, “Mostly myself, and then the expectations that my parents have.” His answer reflects a thoughtful blend of personal ambition and appreciation for the support of his family, highlighting his commitment to growth and responsibility.
