This week is another Student of the Week, senior Tobyn Trottier who is a great student, but even a better student athlete who does sports like football, baseball and wrestling. Tobyn has shown dedication, kindness and respect to his peers and teachers throughout his high school career.
Trottier states, “I feel good to be chosen for this week’s SOTW because Palisade High school has great students and teachers and it is an honor to be looked at”. His hard work and dedication in school doesn’t go unnoticed Trottier is a good representative of what it means and takes to be a Palisade Bulldog! Tobyn has done three sports throughout his high school career and of course you need motivation and perseverance to be able to do that. Trottier says, “Something that motivated me is to try and get college looks from doing all my sports and grades are a big part of helping that because of the grade policy for us athletes.” It is not only important to be kind to your student peers but also your teachers. Trottier also states, “I think I got chosen for SOTW because teachers like me because I am a good student and guy. I make friends with them instead of being disrespectful when all they want to do is help me succeed and get farther in my education.”
High school isn’t always going to be easy as there will be bumps and struggles along the way. But Trottier has some words of advice to give to younger students. “My advice is to go to class and just pay attention to the things that the teachers are teaching and high school will be easy for you.” Tobyn Trottier is a good role model of what it means to be a Palisade Bulldog hardworking, respectful, and kind.
