The Performing Arts Student of the Week is very important to Palisade High School. Performing Arts Student of the Week is a blend of creative arts and talented students who teachers feel as though they really deserve recognition for their talent. Ainsley Gigoux was chosen for this week’s Performing Arts Student of the Week. Gigoux is a sophomore here at Palisade, and her performing art is the theater. Gigoux has been doing theater for four years now and has hopes of pursuing her theater talent throughout her life.
When asked how Gigoux felt about earning the Performing Arts Student of the Week, she stated, “It’s a little bit of a shock, especially looking at all the people in our community and just being here and having the opportunity to be something higher up, It’s very fun and very interesting, and I’m very happy to be even given the opportunity.” its safe to say Gigoux deserved to be the Performing Arts Student of the Week especially with being involved with the shows and performances Palisade has done this year such like,” Murder Most Faul as Desdemona” and most recently “Mamma Mia as an ansambel.”
Gigoux was asked what her favorite part of being in the theater was. She responded with,“ I would definitely say the community is my favorite part because if you have a good community, you have a good show, and that is always the best part of being in the theater when you’re so exited about going and are like yay, I get to go see these people again and its not like darn I have to go see these people again.” Overall, congratulations to Ainsley Gigoux for earning the Performing Arts Student of the Week!
