The air is still, and people are excited. Prom is here, and it’s good that they got food, dancing, and fun. Sorry if you didn’t get a ticket because you’re seriously missing out. The theme is Steal the night away, and some of the students are deciding to shine in gold and yellow dresses and tuxes, while many are going for the normal black and white. These students really shone. It was a really clever idea, especially with the decor shiny and beautiful. It was what it was for this year; the students even say, “It was really pretty.” The STUCO is usually the one to put prom together, and they were really proud and happy with how it came out. The fun was unreal with great music and fun things to do at a great venue. The winners of senior prom king and queen were Preslee Pittman and Elizabeth Fleming. And the Junior prom king and queen were Dalton Mecouch and Violet Walker. The music the DJ was playing was really good; he had a mix of some old party music and today’s music, which really brought the fun and Steal the Night Away vibe at prom. The environment was perfect, people were really showing off their moves with Junior Kaleb Baker saying he and his friends made it a point to dance as obnoxiously as they could, and it only fueled the fire and made people want to dance more. The night can pretty much be put on a pedestal with how much it was like a movie if it were to be put on a list of the top 10 proms, Palisade’s would be 1number 1. No doubt the effort put into it by STUCO was amazing, and we can only thank them for such an amazing night. So thank you, STUCO. The student body is sure that they will make the next event just as good as this one.
