The Performing Arts Student of the Week is very important to Palisade High School. Performing Arts Student of the Week is a blend of creative arts and talented students who teachers feel as though they really deserve recognition for their talent. Roman Paredes was chosen for this week’s Performing Arts Student of the Week. Paredes is a freshman here at Palisade High School, and Paredes’ main art is band. Parades has been in the band for three years now, having been in band throughout middle school and continuing through high school, at the moment, Paredes plays the baritone.
When Paredes was asked how he felt given the opportunity to be Performing Arts Student of the Week Paredes said “I feel very grateful about it, it’s really awesome to be recognized for something like this, and it’s definitely a unique opportunity.” Paredes has worked very hard to be where he is at the moment, and it shows in the performance he gives out to everybody. If you where to ask what Paredes favorite part about being in band Parades would tell you, “ Well it’s just being able to put together music in this community with all my friends and going places and performing infront of crowds it’s really so much fun and it also just makes me really proud to say I can be apart of that community and being in the band community it makes me just feel so much more included in school activities and I think all that is my favorite part of being in band.” It’s safe to say that Parades enjoys being in the band. But overall, make sure to give congratulations to Roman Parades for earning Performing Arts Student of the Week!
