Prom is one of the biggest dances of the entire school year, and for the Palisade Bulldogs, it is always something everyone looks forward to. Every spring, STUCO members put so much work and effort into making the night feel right. Our STUCO takes so much time on every school event, and we don’t appreciate how much they do for us because they don’t just start early to set up for dances, but stay late and wake up early to make sure everything is clean.
With Prom being in a week and a half on Saturday, April 11, people are starting to ask their dates to prom with cute posters, and the closer we get, the more people are going to see promposals happening left and right. You are always seeing someone walking with flowers or candy, and you can hear people screaming with excitement when someone is asked about it at school. It’s so nice and cute to see people being asked to Prom with all these creative posters and not knowing when you’re going to be asked.
One of the first proposals seen this year was when Ethan Beavan asked Lizzie Snover on March 31, right before lunch. She said, “I knew it was going to happen, just not today.” Which honestly sums up the whole idea of a promposal. And what better way to be asked to prom than with your three best friends? Harper Kariker, Tirsta Chaves, and Ashly Jensen all got asked on Saturday, March 8th. Getting asked with your closest friends one after another just makes the moment even better
With Prom right around the corner, the energy around school keeps growing, and it’s clear everyone is ready for a night to remember, and hopefully we get asked next to Prom!
