This Week’s Feature’s Student of the Week is Finn Pedigo. Pedigo is a student that is participating in the Culinary Pathway that gives them a kick start into their career in the future.
Palisade High School is known for its academic advantages that the school can provide for its students. An example is the school’s ability to give students classes that are a part of the Pathways program. This program gives students the ability to get a head start on the skills, or crafts that they may wish to pursue later on after high school.
The culinary program is an example of this since it allows the students the resources and ability to gain the knowledge, certificates, and experience that they will use later on in their culinary career. Pedigo explains how in the culinary pathway they are taught how to perfect their cooking skills, and be able to tie their skills into a real culinary career. Also the teachers are an important part of bringing these students the resources they need for success. “I love how involved a lot of the teachers are.” Pedigo explained. This is a very important part of being able to teach students effectively.
Palisade is able to do such a good job at this since we can have teachers who love what they do and are fully committed to helping students succeed in the pathway. This is also important because the school has many other pathways like construction, firefighting, and police that helps students as they grow and develop as people to be able to work towards the path that they want to pursue.
The community that Palisade High School has developed has made it possible for students regardless of their interests or differences to want to learn and grow in as many ways as possible.
Once again Congratulations to Finn Pedigo for receiving Feature of the Week.
