February 17th a close exciting game against the Central Warriors! Palisade took a turn in this game down many points the whole game but the fourth quarter took an awesome surprising turn. 48-47 was the ending score of the game, what a close one! This game showed the hard work and dedication of striving to the game we always see from our dogs to be able to catch up in points.
Junior Aidan Shiao, one of our varsity starters, had some words to say about this game. Shiao states, “we knew Central was going to give us their all and we knew it was going to be close because there a good team.” This game was a close one the game Shiao believes there were pros and cons. “Strengths we had, we played good defense and rotating the ball but weakness wise turning the ball over and rushing our shots so when we took quick shots it was really just another turnover in the last part of the game.” Any good palisade athlete can admit their strengths and weaknesses so admitting to the weaknesses show being humble but also persistent with admitting to those weaknesses. Palisade showed good team effort, and dedication to be able to win this game so close. Shiao says “overcoming the hump we went through some adversity that we haven’t seen but had to overcome and gather as a team and always have each other’s backs”.
Good job Bulldogs for the hardwork and perseverance we always see and what we want to be able to watch to know what it means to be a proud team!
