The varsity Bulldogs walked away with another win, ending the game with a score 62-47. Regardless of the disadvantages they have experienced, due to flu season. The team has stayed resilient and earned their way into the top 10 in the state. The school is very proud of the team and the players since they have worked so hard to earn this title.

Palisade boys Basketball player Azariah Matthies speaks about their performance during the game. “They have been crushing it in every moment, and not just on the court but on the bench as well.” This shows how vital the teamwork aspect is to a very good team. Azariah also explains the important lessons they have learned during the season “To take accountability is what we’ve learned from our two losses. Regardless of how the season the team has had they are able to learn lessons from their mistakes and apply them throughout their entire lives.

The Bulldogs currently have a 16 -1 record for the season. This has placed the Bulldogs as number eight in Colorado. Even though they have dropped from being number one in the state the team will keep pushing getting better every day.

This win will hopefully set the Bulldogs up for their biggest game of the season against Grand junction. This game is going to be the make or break moment for the Bulldogs since Junction is the only team they have lost to. We are hoping for a great turnout against Junction on 2/3/26.

Hello, my name is Tyler Secrest. I am a staff writer along my friend Dominic Boyet. I am a sophomore this year, and this is my first time writing for the Palisade Paw Post. During school I take classes like woodworking and small engine repair. I am interested in taking classes at CMU Tech my junior year. I enjoy playing baseball for Palisade as an outfielder. I have played baseball for three years and am looking forward to the upcoming baseball season. After school, I like to play pool, and fish. I enjoy spending most of my time outside riding dirt bikes, snowboarding, and camping with my family.

Hey there! My name is Mallory and I am the Editor In Chief with my best friend Gaby. I am a Senior this year and in my final year of the International Baccalaureate programme. I have been a member of the Palisade Paw Post for all four year of my high school career. I have served as a Staff Writer, the Sports Editor, as well as the Social Media Coordinator and I am beyond ecstatic for our big plans for this year. The Paw Post is and has been my home, family, and favorite part of my day. Outside of school, I enjoy playing pickleball every night I can, spending time with my friends, and listening to music. I am also the Girls Golf Team Capitan as well as a member of our D.O.G.S. executive council. I am so excited for my last and best year of the Paw Post. Go Bulldogs!
