Valentine’s Day is now less than a week away; time is what you have to be aware of. According to the ABC Boston News Letter for the floral industry, Valentine’s Day is the busiest day of the year.
For the first half of February, florists spend all their time working and putting together each bouquet. The weekend before Valentine’s Day is the busiest time for them. Getting vses prepped, greens in, and all of the fun valentines day goodies. From Roses, lilies, and Chocolate, they are all ready for the busy week ahead. Florists across the country state that “each year, they look forward to seeing the variety of orders and putting them all together.
Flowers are an easy way to share your love and show the people around you that you care. Sophomore Lyndie Ferguson shares her input on Valentine’s Day and the joy of receiving flowers. “For me personally, each time I get flowers, I feel so special. Not just because the person bought them for me, but because they had to pick them out and think of me the whole time, and then gift them to me. On Valentine’s Day, I think quality time is really important with the ones you love the most. Usually, that day I spend it telling people how grateful I am for them and how much I love them, and then do something that night, whether it’s going to dinner or staying in and cooking.” Valentines day is a day for love, and if you need an idea for a secret someone or someone you love, flowers are always the option.
