Here we have a shining Athlete of the Week, varsity starter Junior Gracie Cooper! Cooper is a shining example of being a representative of Palisade High School. She puts her A game into her sport basketball and out of that is an excellent A plus student. Being a student athlete takes dedication and big responsibility.
We recognize Cooper’s talent and dedication and that’s why she was chosen to represent Athlete of the Week! Cooper states “I feel honored and I’m very grateful that I get the opportunity to play for Palisade and show off my talents in the sport I am passionate about.” Cooper has people to thank though for her being able to represent this title Athlete of the Week. Cooper says “My coach always pushed me through hard times to be able for me to make it to varsity and my team has always been there for me and i’m glad we are comfortable around one another because it makes the game more enjoyable and makes me excited to be able to play with them for another year because of how well we all get along and how fun we make basketball”. Cooper is a very enthusiastic person and she has learned many things throughout her basketball career. “You are not going to get better through comfort, you are only going to get better through hardships. Basketball has taught me how to stay composed under pressure and how to not fold over pressure because that is how you succeed”. Wow oh wow Coopers words of motivation are inspiring.
Congratulations Gracie Cooper for being able to represent athlete of the week. Cooper’s hard work is not unrecognized; we see what it means to be a Palisade Bulldog in her!
