On Friday January 16th, 28 Years Later: Bone Temple came out in movie theaters. Bone Temple is the direct follow up of 28 years later, which successfully grossed over $151 million. The success caused a higher budget for the rest of the 28 days later series. The movie follows a boy born in a zombie filled England whose goal is to survive and find out why his mother is sick. He meets unusual people along the way who help and hinder him.
Maz Savoni, a Freshman at Palisade High School, said “I’m so excited!” when asked about 28 Years Later. Savoni described the first movie as “The perfect mix of chaos and disturbing, but the end turned out great”. Savoni used words such as rad and amazing when asked about the new movie and said “It’s going to be legendary”.
Eithyn Janssen, a Senior at Palisade High School said, “It’s definitely a movie series that could keep up, and I’m excited to see what they do with it.” Janssen had few critiques about the first movie, but wonders about the new movies and the run times. Janssen says, “With this day and age and people’s attention span, it may seem like the scene is running on.” Overall Janssen feels he was ready to see 28 Years Later, and looking forward to it.
Many fans of the first few movies are glad to hear that another movie is already on the way and in production. They may also be glad to hear that Cillian Murphy, a lead from the previous movie, is rumored to be making a return in one of the newer movies. So grab a ticket now to go see 28 Years Later: The Bone Temple, before it’s too late and make sure to check out the rest of the movies.
