This Sunday, February 8th, at 4:30 p.m., the Seattle Seahawks will face off against the New England Patriots in Super Bowl LX, which is being held at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, California. Fans across the country are anticipating an intense matchup between two teams that have dominated throughout the season.
Both teams have gone through impressive seasons, taking down several tough opponents along the way. The Seahawks, finishing first in the NFC West, have had an outstanding year especially after adjusting to their new quarterback Sam Darnold. Many fans were unsure how the team would perform with the change, but Seattle quickly adapted to the new system and found their rhythm early in the season. Their strong offense and consistent defense helped them reach the Super Bowl with only three total losses.
Although the Seahawks have had an incredible run, the New England Patriots are just as strong. Led by quarterback Drake Maye, the Patriots have put together an extremely successful season. Maye has been a key factor in the team’s success posting impressive statistics, including 533 passing yards over the season. His ability to read defenses and make big plays has kept the Patriots competitive in every game they’ve played.
Mason Kopp, a junior at Palisade High School, shared his expectations for the game stating, “The Seahawks will definitely win. I think the score will be 37 to 13.” Kopp also mentioned that he had high hopes for the Denver Broncos this season after nearly ten years without major success. However, he was extremely disappointed after their tough loss to the New England Patriots. Despite this, Kopp firmly believes that next year will be a breakout season for the Denver Broncos.
As Super Bowl Sunday approaches, fans are eager to see which team will come out on top and make history.
