On January 27th, the Plaisade boys basketball team went on the road to face Glenwood.
The Bulldogs took another win on the road but there was something different that night. There has been some sickness floating around the team. The team pushed through with their determination. They still secured the win and didn’t let anything stop them.
Junior Jax Bavor reflects on the game “ it’s was an alright game” I definitely feel like we all could have played better and I think we were just kind of tired” Palisade is currently ranked #1 in Colorado. The basketball team has fought so hard and will continue to fight to win the Western Slope league.
Palisade built a lead winning 60-45 closing the game with smart passes and safe defense showing everyone why they should be at the top of the league. When the buzzer sounded you could see all the tiring expressions on the players even after the win.
Basketball players never have it easy especially in the winter during flu season. Even though every team has an off day it doesn’t effect the Bulldogs win streak. They stay focused and don’t let one thing affect how they play.
And this week the bulldogs play Junction, the only team they’ve lost to and are hoping to take a big home game win. And on Saturday February 7th the Bulldogs go all the way to Durang.
Come out and cheer the Bulldogs on February 3rd for a potentially big win!
