The Performing Arts Student of the Week is very important to Palisade High School. Performing Arts Student of the Week is a blend of creative arts and talented students who teachers feel as though they really deserve recognition for their talent. This week’s Performing Arts student is senior Neveah Peirce, who was chosen for the art of theater. Peirce has been in the theater for four years now and has hopes to continue pursuing her future with theater arts in mind.
When asked about how Peirce felt about being chosen for this week’s student, she responded with “ I am very grateful to have been given this. It really makes me feel like this recognition, like all the work I put in wasn’t just for nothing, someone was paying enough attention to me to recognize me for this, it really means a lot to me.” Peirce was just recently in our high school’s play production of Mamma Mia. Peirce played one of the main roles as Sophia Sheridan, if you were to ask Peirce what she thought about theater arts she would tell you, “ I feel I really enjoy theater arts its a super fun and positive environment and you get to meet all these different type of people and it’s just so much fun all together and I think if you do enjoy doing stuff involving theater you should definitely try to join Palisades theater it is truly just an incredible atmosphere to be in.” As Mama Mia has come to an end, it is clear that Pierce has worked hard to be the Performing Arts Student of the Week. Congratulations, Neveah Peirce, on your achievement. Let’s go, Dawgs!
