This past Friday night, our Palisade Girls Basketball team played Fruita Monument High School in an extremely exciting match. With an 11-5 record, our Palisade girls suffered a tough loss, losing by 25 points. The final score was 57-32. After asking sophomore Imari Bosshardt about the game, she states, “One challenge that we had during our game is that Fruita is a good team in general, and all their players compete well. Hailey Wagner, number 15 on Fruita, is a very talented player, and I personally think she brings challenges to the court.” Imari had many struggles with this game, as Fruita Monument has strong communication on and off the court. Speaking about mental challenges and team challenges, she thought they had during game time. She states, “I think the team needs to work on communication on the court, and starting on time in the first quarter.” Speaking on the issues within their on-court communication, she also speaks about how well they handled pressure and how they put up a good fight. In the end, the team can take this loss as a learning experience and be more prepared for their upcoming game. Let’s Go Bulldogs!
