The Denver Broncos are on a roll. This season feels a lot like other legendary years we’ve seen before. Ever since the Broncos played against the Buffalo Bills on January 17th, the Broncos are going to the AFC Championship. A huge reward for the Broncos after 10 years of nothing. A huge reason for the win is the defense, which looks a lot like the famous 2015 Broncos “No Fly Zone.” We have a great outside linebacker Nik Bonitto, who is playing a lot like 2015 Von Miller. Bonitto already has 14 sacks this season, which is crazy when you realize Von Miller had 11 during that 2015 regular season.
You can really tell how hard the Broncos have been playing because they actually tied the NFL record for the most games won within one score, and most of the games this season we’ve gone into the 4th quarter leading and still won. None of the games have been boring to watch. Every single one has been exciting, ranging from game-winning field goals to Bonitto making a huge “jumping swat” to save the game. The most phenomenal part lately has been Bo Nix and his performance this season, and the game against the Bills was no different; but at the second-to-last play of the divisional round, Bo Nix fractured his ankle and Jarrett Stidham started for the AFC Championship. Maddox Lopez said the Bo Nix injury made his night a lot worse after a victory like that to go on social media and see that Bo was injured. Junior Mason Kopp has a lot of hope for Jarrett Stidham, even saying, “People are underrating him,” and Stidham will have to prove it. He must show everyone that he’s the real deal.
