Starbucks, America’s most popular coffee chain, released a new menu that offers sweet and savory flavors that give color to winter. These drinks include viral ingredients such as dubai chocolate and matcha, which have been extremely popular on social media. With cozy classics and trendy beverages, Starbucks’ new menu has proven to be sought after and in demand.
Starting off with one of the biggest hits on the menu, the Dubai Chocolate Matcha is seen as a perfect mix between trends. Combining a distinctly creamy texture of a matcha with a rich pistachio chocolate, customers have loved the drink, and it’s shown to be a fan favorite. Although Starbucks is shifting over to include more lemonades and matchas, the menu included beverages from last year, which incorporates a velvety yet savory twist on the traditional coffees such as the Pistachio Cold Brew, the Pistachio Latte and Pistachio Cortado. And of course, we can’t forget the Cannon Ball, which is a mix of the Strawberry Acai Refresher and the Mango Dragon Fruit Refresher, which is inspired by the start of the second part of the Beast Games. This unique refresher is a delicious mix of tropical and fruity flavors, perfect for spicing up any dreary winter day.
As a company, Starbucks has been struggling to find its feet again, especially with declining sales and employee strikes. But with new management, Starbucks has been able to use more strategies to bring in more customers such as simplifying the menu, making stores more efficient, and adding trending drinks to the menu. “I like matcha, and I go to Starbucks every Friday,” comments Claire Fricke, a Freshman at Palisade. “I usually get the Chai Latte and I want to try the Dubai Chocolate Matcha.” By incorporating different drinks and strategies, Starbucks has created a popular new menu that has resonated with customers across the country.
