The last and final season of the well known and loved show “Stranger Things” is at the beginning of its end. The last season, season five which came out on Tuesday, November 26th at 6:00 pm started off with four new episodes including; Chapter 1: The Crawl, Chapter 2: The Vanishing of Holly Wheeler, Chapter 3: The Turnbow Trap, and Chapter 4: Sorcerer. New episodes are coming out on the 25th of December and the finale is planned for December 31st, which is New Year’s Eve.
Many fans are anxious for the finale and outcome of the last season, having waited patiently for the season since season four came out almost three years ago on May 27th, 2022, the last episode having a time of 140 minutes and the finale of the fifth season expected to be two hours long. A fan of the show at Palisade High School Ziva Howell mentioned when I asked about her thoughts on the season so far states, “I think they’re just building up for the other episodes to come out.” Howell also states, “I like the way it’s progressing so far, but I will say I’m nervous for the upcoming episodes and how that’ll end up.” Her own feelings of the show are similar to many fans across the globe on the season, many opinions and guesses for the show are being displayed on social media platforms like Tiktok, Instagram, and others.
The founders of the show the Duffer brothers have also revealed many hints as well as other undertakings to expect in the rest of this season. Matt Duffer states, “I would say season five is not as violent as season four, but it has the most violent death of any season.”, creating anticipation and worry for what character from the show they’re speaking of and how that will affect fans.. Though the episodes that are out didn’t include any major deaths. There have definitely been some close calls and word spreads fast, with many fans believing Steve Harrington might be in danger and fans noticing the amount of excessive screentime one of the characters Robin has been getting. Introduced to the show the third season, from what the Duffer brothers have commented on the fifth fans have been suspicious of the upcoming fate of one of the beloved characters.
In the end, the show has a special place in fans hearts, and the journey is just at the beginning of the ending. Hopefully, the end will wrap the show up no matter the events and leave a lasting impression on fans, and anyone who watches the show’s hearts.
