What’s going on in the counselors office now? Second quarter, and first semester of the 2025 school year is almost over already. With Freshmen getting used to the whole new experience and Seniors preparing for Graduation with their counselors helping lead their future forward. There’s many more new reminders and imminent events and information you should know that are going on in the counselors corner. A counselor at Palisade High School, Ms. Thackaberry states, “We’re focusing right now on making sure all of our Seniors are on track to graduate. We are focusing on registration for second semester CMU concurrent classes.” Ms. Thackaberry also stated, “We also want the student body to know that the deadline for requesting a schedule change for semester 2 is the 16th of September.” These are many things students, especially the Seniors at Palisade, need to know for the upcoming school year. Many of these events are crucial to be aware of as well as deadlines come close especially for Seniors. Counselors are helping create and guide
Senior’s path to graduation and how they’ll get there in the upcoming months. Thackleberry also stated, “We also want to encourage all of our Seniors to make sure they’re capping gown has been ordered by Justin’s by Thanksgiving. Because after Thanksgiving, it gets much more expensive.” Another important aspect of upcoming graduation that Seniors need to know for the year.
