Congratulations to this week’s Futures of the Week, senior Gavin Poole. Poole is a student in the construction program and works very hard at what he does. Poole’s hard work and effort he puts into his work hasn’t gone unnoticed, which is why he was named this week’s Future of the Week. Aside from the construction program Poole plays football and has a relatively busy schedule. When asked about his workload and how he manages it Poole replied, “I manage my workload little bit by little bit each time in class seeing what we can get done in the short amount of time we have each day,” showing that Poole has strong control over his schedule and makes sure he doesn’t do more than he can handle in his day. When asked about what Poole is working on in his class at the moment Poole said, “We are building a shed so we can put electrical panels in it to learn how to use electricity in big panels,” this hands on learning allows students to truly learn necessary skills needed to join the construction industry right out of high school. When asked about his definition of success Poole said, “Accomplishing what other people thought you couldn’t, or what I thought I couldn’t do.” That is a very strong statement that goes to show the character Poole is, his dedication and effort to be successful is what made him this week’s Future’s of the Week. Congratulations again to Gavin Poole.
