Congratulations to Senior Brooklynn Kelley for being named this week’s student of the week. Kelley being named Student of the Week shows that her hard work and dedication to classes stands out amongst her peers. When asked about how she felt being named student of the week Kelley replied “I was not expecting it, but I’m very grateful to have been picked as this week’s student of the week.” Showing that being student of the week is a huge honor. Being a student alone has its challenges and varying amounts of work, but for Kelley when asked about her workload and how she manages it she commented, “ My workload isn’t too busy.. I’ve learned how to handle the different stresses that come with being a football manager, being a part of choir, and having an internship with 911 Dispatch, all come with different challenges and craziness, but over the school year I learn how to make everything work together and learn how to balance my schedule.” This goes to show Kelley’s drive to set herself up for success by learning what she has to do to stay productive, but not overly stressed. Kelley’s advice she would give a freshman to be successful as a high school student is, “Always keep your calculator for math charged, but in all seriousness, study as much as you can, and just remember that grades and the classes you take don’t define who you are.” Between Kelley’s managing, school work, being a senior, and interning with 911 dispatch it’s no wonder she was named this week’s student of the week. Congratulations again to Brooklynn Kelley for being this week’s student of the week.
