Trick or Treat which costume this Halloween assembly eats? On the 31st of October students as well as staff, dressed up for the holiday of halloween, some matching as duos, trios, and some adorable and creative couple costumes as well. The assembly started off right away with many students having signed up for the Halloween costume contest. Some of the outfits including hippies, How To Train Your Dragon, 2000’s Gangsters, Men in Black, 1920’s flapper girls, as well as many other creative costumes such as characters from well known shows such as 10 Things I hate about you in the end the 1920’s flapper girls won the contest for the students of PHS. When asking one of the students that did this costume, Freshman Jubilee Romkee states, “I think the assembly went pretty well. We dressed as flapper-girls and made one of our guy members dress up as one so it was really fun.” Other students also loved the costume and the funny idea of dressing one of their guys up as such, since the flapper girls did win. Students competing in the costume contest also played a game of What’s In The Box? Guessing the weird things they felt with blindfold on them all guessing correctly.
After the students had their costume competition, the teachers hit it off in different creative costumes groups competing for the best costumes out of all the groups of teachers. The different groups including Counselors as beanie babies, math as Minecraft, science as Ninja Turtles, ELA as Pirates of the Caribbean, Admin as roller coaster riders, office as Waldo, Physical education teachers as 67, world languages as Cloudy and a Chance of Meatballs, arts as sparkling unicorns, custodians as pitbull, and special ed as characters from the movie Grease. When asking Mr. Wallace French teacher for Palisade High

School who dressed up as Flint Lockwood from Cloudy and a Chance of Meatballs. When I asked how he thought the assembly went he stated, “It’d be cool to see more students and groups of students, but that’s fine. And I think it was fun.” Also mentioning how “It would be nicer to have more students involved.” Giving us hope that in the future, students will be even more involved in the assembly activities. To sum it up, the Halloween assembly at PHS 2025 was a fun time for everyone and there definitely were some Boo-tiful costumes as well.
