On Wednesday, October 29, the Palisade Bulldogs hosted Trick-or-Treat Street, where little kids and students from the town of Palisade dress up in their best costumes and walk around the school like it’s a normal Halloween, and get candy passed out to them, and go to different stations to play games to win candy. Trick-or-Treat Street is an alternative to traditional trick-or-treating, where you can participate in various activities.
This event offered more than just candy, but different activities like interactive booths, costume contests, and creative decorations and costumes that transformed the school into a spooky wonderland. It was a chance for little kids from the town of Palisade to have a safe, enjoyable Halloween night. That also offered the warmth of staying inside and such a fun, interactive experience.
Seniors Lyla Lancaster and Lila Huddle were both part of the trick-or-treat street, and lots of other Palisade students also helped out to create such a nice, festive environment. They made their own booth where you would fish for candy, behind a piece of paper that looked like an ocean with a ruler and a string attached to the end to fish for candy. Lancaster said, “We heard many parents say that our booth was the best.” Having the best booth from Lancaster and Huddle isn’t that surprising. Lancaster said, “This is my 4th year doing Trick-or-Treat Street. Huddle said this is my first year at Trick-or-Treat Street… it was really fun dressing up and seeing all the little kids.” Seeing little kids dressed up is always fun. Hopefully, next year it can be just as fun.
