The ongoing conflict between Israel and Palestine is a complex and deeply entrenched issue that has resulted in tragic consequences. The conflict stems from a long history of territorial disputes, religious differences, and political tensions. While it is true that there have been reports of innocent children being killed as a result of Israeli bombings, it is important to note that the situation is highly sensitive and complicated, with violence occurring on both sides.
In any armed conflict, civilian casualties are devastating and heartbreaking. Innocent lives lost, including those of children, are tragedies that should never occur. However, it is essential to consider the broader context of the conflict to fully comprehend the involvement at play. Both Israel and Palestine have suffered immense loss throughout this protracted war, with each side blaming the other for their respective actions. It is crucial to strive for understanding and seek peaceful resolutions through dialogue and negotiation to prevent further loss of life among innocent civilians, especially children who bear no responsibility for the conflicts they find themselves caught up in. Meaning that the schools in Palestine had to close down due to not having any students to attend the schools. The people are devastated thinking about a whole generation being erased.

Regarding the conflict taking place right now in Palestine, many citizens are calling for a ceasefire. Although there are many businesses that as of right now are being called out for sending money, food, and supplies to Israel. During the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day parade, there was a protest on live television to help call for a ceasefire. Examples of these companies would be, Starbucks, McDonald’s, Disney, Converse, Burger King, KFC, NFL, Coca-Cola, Nordstrom, and many more. In an interview with Ana Moralesreyes, she stated, “I think that the companies deserve the backlash they are receiving from the people. In supporting Israel, they are allowing many innocent children to be killed and so much more. Although I understand it is a hot topic.”

Hello Palisade High School students, my name is Angela and I am a junior here at Palisade. I joined the newspaper class because everyone here resembles a family. This is my second year in the Palisade Paw Post. I moved to Grand Junction three years ago from Arizona. I love traveling and have been to many places and I’ve got the chance to experience different cultures. One of the best places I have visited is Seattle Washington. I am really excited to get to know all the new team members at the Paw Post this year.
