Palisade High School Spirit Bone is an annual event that brings together the entire student body to showcase their school spirit and unity. This exciting tradition involves various competitions and activities, such as who was the loudest class, hall decorating, dressing up for spirit week and the attendance during the concert, and the bonfire. This also includes the Powder-Puff and Ruff-N-Tuff. The Spirit Bone serves as a platform for students to express themselves creatively and demonstrate their unwavering support for their school.
In the most recent Spirit Bone competition, the seniors took back the spirit bone of Palisade High School and emerged victorious with their exceptional performances and unmatched enthusiasm. The senior class displayed incredible teamwork, dedication, and a true sense of fellowship throughout the event. Their outstanding creative skills and memorable outfits left a lasting impression on fellow students. Joss Baskin, a senior here at Palisade stated, “I feel pretty good about Seniors winning the spirit bone, especially since we didn’t win it our first 3 years. I think we did the best in Volleyball, but could have improved on the amount of people dressing up for spirit days.” By incorporating elements of humor, creativity, and passion into their activities, the seniors captured the essence of Palisade High School’s spirit like never before. Their win not only celebrated their final year at the school but also showcased their remarkable leadership qualities that will undoubtedly inspire future classes, and definitely started their last year of high school with a blast.

Hello Palisade High School students, my name is Angela and I am a junior here at Palisade. I joined the newspaper class because everyone here resembles a family. This is my second year in the Palisade Paw Post. I moved to Grand Junction three years ago from Arizona. I love traveling and have been to many places and I’ve got the chance to experience different cultures. One of the best places I have visited is Seattle Washington. I am really excited to get to know all the new team members at the Paw Post this year.
