The single that all Olivia Rodrigo fans have been anticipating “Drop Dead” finally came out on Friday April 17th. Exciting world wide for the fandom and causing a spread of different opinions and the new upcoming album set to come out in June on the 12th on another Friday. The upcoming album revealed to be named “You seem pretty sad for a girl in love” has made an impact amongst fans with the title, and from just one song and has created questions on what else Olivia Rodrigo will conjure up in the full album itself. The song is described as one of a “maximalism rush of infatuation” and featuring a power pop guitar solo. Which some fans have loved while others aren’t sure about the song that has a hint of difference from her past music. The song has already landed 4th on the charts for the UK. Also including a music video along with the song featuring the Versailles palace in France, the only time any artist has ever filmed a music video at the palace, and has ever been allowed. Her song made it on the hot 100 billboard only a few days after it came out . When asking a fan of Olivia Rodrigo at Palisade Highschool, Aubrey Williams on the new single she states, “I think it sounds different so I think that’s good to see her lean into other types of sounds and genres.” Williams notes, “I’m excited for the new album fully to see what else she does with her music. And how it differs from her more popular and previous stuff.” Overall fans at Palisade high school and her fanbase around the world are excited to see what else will come from this song. And if this is just a preview for more of her popular music to come out this upcoming summer.
