On Monday, March 16th, LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight is available to pre-order for $69.99. LEGO Batman is going to be fully available on Playstation 5, Xbox Series XS, Nintendo Switch 2 and PC on Friday, May 22nd. This open world game takes place in Gotham and lets you play as characters such as Batman, Robin, Batgirl, Nightwing, Commissioner Gordon, Catwoman, and Talia al Ghul. Each Character will have special gadgets and abilities that the other characters do not have. If pre-ordered, you will have a chance to play the game 72 hours early, with more customizable components and different story lines.
Jacoby Janssen, a Sophomore at Palisade Highschool, says “I am very excited, I’m a huge batman fan, one of my favorite DC characters and a huge supporter of Absolute Batman.” Milo Bhagatram-Jackson, a Junior at Palisade Highschool says, “I’m pretty pumped and excited.” When Jackson and Janssen were asked what suits they would want to see in the game Jackson responded, “I really want to see the pink fairy wand suit from the lego batman movie in the game.” While Janssen says, “I need to see the absolute Batman suit, but any suit from the Arkham suits would be cool, Batman Beyond would be sick, any old suits from the old lego games would be really cool.” Janssen was questioned about the limited playable characters, he said, “I think it’s chill. Just having a Batman focus game that’s lego. I’m a huge fan of the Batman: Arkham games. Lego games are the peak of it all, so having a lego game makes me so hyped.” Although excited for the game, when asked the price Jackson said, “$70 dollars? That’s a lot.” Janssen adds onto that and says, “I think for a lego game that’s kinda crazy, because there is a lot happening in it, but there’s not a lot happening to it. But with the six characters that are playable. I don’t know if that’s worth it.”
