The Performing Arts Student of the Week is very important to Palisade High School. Performing Arts Student of the Week is a blend of creative arts and talented students who teachers feel as though they really deserve recognition for their talent. This week’s Performing Arts student is freshman Jubilee Romkee, who was chosen for the art of theater. Romkee has been in the theater for just one year now, but has made such a bright difference in the Thesbian community already.
When asked about how Romkee felt about being given the opportunity to be Performing Arts Student of the Week, Romkee responded with,“ I do really enjoy the theater because its like you get to interact with all these different types of people and you really find more out about yourself, whether that’s if you can speak accents or not or saying stuff on stage infront of everybody it really just depends on what you are interested in. But I’m just very grateful for the opportunity.” If you were to ask Romkee what her favorite part of being a part of the theater is, she would tell you, “My absolute favorite part about being part of the theater is to converse with like all the other people cause yes, it is like there is all sorts of different types of people in there and when your in there with all these different types of people its fun to see how they come up with stuff and plan out things like scrips and scenes its just fun to see where everything goes when so many different people come up with these things.” It’s safe to say that Romkee really enjoys being in the theater. Overall, congratulations to Jubilee Romkee for earning Performing Arts Student of the Week!
