The Performing Arts Student of the Week is very important to Palisade High School. Performing Arts Student of the Week is a blend of creative arts and talented students who teachers feel as though they really deserve recognition for their talent. This week’s Performing Arts Student of the Week is senior Presley Pitmann for the art of band.
Pitmann has been in the band for seven years now and has hopes to pursue band in his future career. When asked about why Pitmann enjoys band so much, he responded with, “ I really enjoy band because of the opportunities to make these connections with so many people, and all the connections you make are just so meaningful. And the band community here at palisade it just such a fun atmosphere to be around.” It is clear to say that Pitmann enjoys band.
Pitmann was also asked how he felt given the opportunity to be the Performing Arts Student of the Week. Pitmann responded with, “ I feel so grateful to be given this opportunity im really honored, but you know I’m not really big on things where you get the enjoyment out of the recognition because that’s not really why I do it becasue thats no where you get the happiness from because I believe your happiness comes from doing stuff for you and not for the satisfaction of others.” Palisade High School is very lucky to have a student like Pitmann.
Pitmann was also asked what he would tell kids who were interested in joining band. Pitmann said, “ I think if you are thinking about joining band or really any Performing Arts for a school I would say just do it because it really makes your high school experience just all so much better because you get to experience all these new communities within the school, you don’t even know where they are, and the memories are just incredible.” In conclusion, Pitmann feels very passionate about band. But overall, congratulations to Presley Pitmann for earning the title of Performing Arts Student of the Week.
