This week senior Mason Burke has been chosen for Performing Arts Student of the Week in recognition for his passion in Choir. Burke has been in Choir since he was in the sixth grade, being in Choir for seven years and he is very dedicated to being in Choir. Recently Burke has also been participating in Palisades High School’s Mama Mia show production as Harry Bright, giving up his free time to be in the play. He is very committed to Choir but is also an outstanding and impressive student in general.
In his own words Burke feels that he should be Performing Arts Student of the Week because, “I have been a very strong leader for the Choir students in the past year and a huge help to the program recently.” He is a huge contribution to the Choir program at Palisade High School because he inspires other students to try their hardest and put in the effort. After being asked what the best part of being in Choir is Burke says, “I think that the community is the strongest reason but also the art that we put into the world as well as the pure passion that every singer has behind their voice truly inspires me to continue and grow.” Burke clearly works extremely hard and getting Performing Arts Student of the Week is well earned. As a whole, Palisade’s Choir is a really hard working and respected community and gives very impressive performances. Burke stood out because he’s noticeably dedicated and works very hard. He is well appreciated by his teachers and classmates. Congratulations to Mason Burke for getting Performing Arts Student of the Week!
