At Palisade High School, there are many different options for clubs and activities to join, Family Career Community Leaders of America (FCCLA) being one of them. This club is for problem solvers with creativity. This week on Thursday 06, 2025 at 6:00 PM. FCCLA is hosting a pickleball tournament. The theme is camo out, best dressed getting an award. There will also be awards for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners. This tournament will be held at the Lincoln Park pickleball courts. Co-Admin of FCCLA, Junior Piper Wesolowski says, “The pickleball tournament is one of our community events because as a national organization one of the things we do is community events, so it isn’t a fundraiser, it’s just to bring the community together.” Having community events like these is important because it brings people together and gives them the chance to meet new people.
Along with community events, FCCLA also does a lot of different things to fundraise money for things like traveling out of state for Nationals. Community events help pay for the club in general for team bonding events and other fun things. Putting on fundraisers helps the club members individually pay for things like nationals or other opportunities that FCCLA has to offer. The FCCLA members who made a project on something they are passionate about, go to nationals to compete against other schools from all over the country. Going to nationals is such a fun opportunity, when FCCLA does these fundraisers it gives members the opportunity to participate. Showing up to support would mean a lot, so FCCLA hopes to see you there!
