This Friday and Saturday, the Palisade Bulldog volleyball team is having a tournament to determine if they are going to qualify for regionals. This wonderful team of amazing volleyball players are going against many teams such as Pagosa Springs. When asking Freshman Bo Reimer about what strategies her team will implement and how she felt about the upcoming tournament, Reimer stated, “I think we have potential to do really well since it’s the last game before we can see if we go to regionals. We definitely have to lock in for this tournament. I think we all are feeling the pressure to have the urgency and we need to start pushing hard so we can go.” Reimer also stated something that she heard from last year about this tournament, Reimer states, “I heard last year that Palisade cooked everyone and did really well against other teams. I know that some of the players on some of the teams are decent, but I think we can still win.” When Reimer was asked about the strategies that they are using in this tournament, Reimer stated, “Honestly, our whole game plan is to serve tough and hustle on defense. Because we’re not the tallest team, so we’re super good at defense. A good way for us to win is that our serves are super tough but we use those to our advantage.” With these statements, it is clear that Reimer is really confident in not only herself but her whole team. If the team wins, they will be going to regionals, if they win regionals then they will go to state. They all are excited to see how they play and what the outcome of the tournament will be.
