As many of you know The NBA is Back but what does this really mean? For NBA fans this can be many things; It can be excitement for all the fun games ahead; it can be curiosity for how this season is going to turn out; it can simply be joy that the season is here again. All these emotions could have been felt while watching the first two tip off games of the season. On Tuesday October 21, 2025, the Houston Rockets played the Oklahoma City Thunder. This happened at 7:30 E.T. In this game the Oklahoma City Thunder received their championship rings from the previous championship. This event included giving Shai Gilgous Alexander (OKC’s Star player) his MVP award. This thrilling game went into double overtime with the ending score being 124 to 125. In the end the Oklahoma City Thunder won against the Houston Rockets. The other game that was played that day included the Golden State Warriors and the Los Angeles Lakers. This game was not as close, with the final score being 119 to 10, Golden state warriors landing on top. This occurred at 10 p.m. E.T. Junior Aiden Shiao watched both games and when he was asked what his favorite part of both games was, he responded by saying, “Seeing the Thunder and the Rockets going into overtime, It felt like basketball was back and it also felt like a playoff basketball atmosphere.” After that Aiden Shiao was asked who he felt played best in the opening games he answered by stating, “Both teams played very well but the warriors definitely played a lot better, The Warriors played well defensively and they shot 42 percent from three and 43 from the field.” He also states that Jared Butler played very well. Aiden Shiao is a basketball player which makes watching games like these fun because you can relate to yourself. Overall, the tip off games made many people around the world excited for the season.
