At Palisade Highschool the Student Council does a great job at making the school feel festive and always bringing excitement. The Palisade High School Student Council has been up to a lot with the Color Dance, Homecoming week, and now with the holidays coming around the corner, starting with Halloween. The council always tries to do something spooky and fun around Halloween, and it keeps them very busy. Junior Izzy Castillo says, “As of right now, we are planning our Hallo-day, and an assembly so kids can show off their Halloween costumes.” Castillo goes on to explain that Hallo-day is when the students of the school compete to see who has the best costumes. The students will be able to enter themselves or a group of people for the Halloween assembly.
Stucco is also busy planning Trick Or Treat Streat. Trick or Treat Streat is an event that happens every year and is one of the Student Council’s biggest events. Each member of the Council will be responsible for having a fun and festive activity in one of the classrooms in the school. Kids of all ages come to the school and enjoy Trick-or-Treating in each classroom. It usually takes place the week of Halloween and keeps Stuco on there toes. In each classroom, there is a fun activity, and each member of the council is dressed up in a fun Halloween costume. Castillo is the head planner of Trick or Treat Street this year, and he said he enjoys being able to work with each member of the council to create fun activities for the students and for the school as a whole. Castillo is also in charge of the Halloween assembly, and he can’t wait to show the school what the council has been working on.
