This week our very own Coach D has chosen a student to shine some light on this week, Bailey Allen. Allen is a Senior at Palisade high school, she transferred to Palisade at the end of her Sophomore year. She was such a happy and inviting girl to talk to and she really reflects the beauty of Palisades student body. She was very excited to be chosen as Palisades Student of the Week. When we spoke to Allen she told us a little bit about herself, “ I like to make a lot of friends and I try to be kind to people and encourage people a lot because I know high school sucks but I know that they can do it.” This really reflects the kind of girl she is and explains the light in her eyes as she speaks about herself and others. Allen also added being a Senior, “I’m trying to be involved with all of the Senior activities and my classes are pretty easy and fun which is a good thing.” Senior year is a big thing for Highschoolers and it’s good to know that Allen is getting involved and using her last year to her advantage. Allen is also part of the cheer squad but is currently out for tearing her ACL but she is still at practise and helping out, which I believe is very responsible and care of her. She also did theater in her Freshman year which she really enjoyed. It was really nice getting to talk to Allen. She was so sweet and very approachable for anyone in need or in search of some encouragement.

Penelope Waterhouse, Staff writer
Hey there! My name is Penelope Waterhouse and I’m a Pre-DP Sophomore at Palisade High School. This is my first year writing as a staff writer for the Palisade Paw Post. I am super excited to be part of the Paw Post this year because this is my first time getting involved with Palisade High School and its programs. Outside of school I enjoy hanging out with my friends, family, and animals. Also reading, long boarding, and paddle boarding. I’m a very focused student and I enjoy math and French the most. I am looking forward to what I can give to the Paw Post and what I can get in return! Talk later Bulldogs!
