With Homecoming around the corner comes a new year of royalty nominations. Students at Palisade are now nominating who they want to see in this year’s homecoming lineup. Homecoming at Palisade is like a sacred tradition for anyone who’s been here at least for a year. This year we have many students throwing their hat in the ring to see if they have what it takes to become Palisade’s Homecoming Royalty. With the first round of nominating still going on many students are hopeful that they have what it takes to win. Senior Noah Troublefield commented “Whoever is running against me and motivating myself to secure those votes” when asked about how he plans on being successful in his campaign. Using his competition as a motivator is a great way to be successful in anything especially with wanting to win Royalty. Senior Nathan Umberger said “I knew I wanted to run my Senior year for a long time and thought it would be really cool to be a part of that.” Sophomore Francisco Martinez spoke on why he wanted to run for royalty saying, “ I try to set certain expectations for others and show them anything is possible” and that running with his girlfriend Alexis Lopez “ I thought maybe it would be a little more special.” This just exemplifies that even though students here at Palisade want to win this year’s homecoming royalty, they also want to inspire those around them and make every moment special for anyone who participates in Palisade’s activities.
