This Thursday, the Palisade soccer team had a great game against Grand Junction High School, and showed nothing less than the best! Even though it came out to be a tie, Palisade showed so much strength and hard work. Junction fought hard and came very close, but the Bulldogs caught back up and showed their dedication.
When it comes to hard work and dedication, you can always count on the Palisade Bulldogs soccer team to never give up no matter how far they are down they just keep pushing forward. Even when they have losses, that doesn’t stop them from getting right back up and coming back even harder and better than ever. There were some points in the game when the soccer team thought they could win. According to Sophomore Lizzie Snover, “At half time even when we were losing we all still had hope and thought we could win and come out on top.”
This whole season, the soccer team has grown a lot with one another. Snover states, “we’ve become used to each other as new teammates so learning how to trust each other and building off of one another is a big way the team has grown.” The first half was scary for the soccer team because Junction was up by two and there seemed to be no hope but in the end. According to Snover, “we were down 2-0 but we scored two points to tie up in the last 10 minutes.”
It was definitely a good and exciting game. If you haven’t, go support our Bulldogs soccer team by cheering them on and showing that Bulldog Spirit!
