Since Palisade High School is getting back from winter break we are going to jump in to see how the boys Basketball team is doing. The team has been doing well and have grown a lot since the start of the season. Although they lost their last game against Montrose, that does not stop them from pushing through and taking on the next game.
After an interview with senior Julian Garza who has been playing since Freshman year, we got a lot of insight on what’s new with the team. Garza states the team has definitely grown since the start and the team’s chemistry is a lot better. “We’ve had some off games but we corrected that and got better”. This year there is a new coach with the team, “The new coach was good at the beginning. It was a little shaky but everyone is betting with it now so it’s been super fun.” Their latest game against Durango was a pretty hard loss but when it comes to a loss, it’s not a punishment, it’s a lesson so that the next game the team can work on the mistake and kick butt!
